September .3, 10.55 p.m.). ■ S'ytlney, September .John Griffiths, who early in August killed his.father, and was charged .'with manslaughter, lias been sentenced to six 1 mouths' hard'labour. Griffiths, senr,, the father of John Griffiths, was found at his home in Pyrmont with several of his fingers .severed, his head split, and a sword alongside. Tho police evidence 6howed that tho murder was the. result ' of trouble between the father and the mother. ; , The son,, cautioned the father,' who on Saturday again insulted tho mother, the son seizing a sword which, tlio'father (got in,.the Boxer, War, inflicting fatal injuries'.
