FIRST APPLICATION GRANTED. A'/meeting of tho War Pensions-Board was held last might, and the first pension granted under the Act passed on August 5 granted> to a. disabled member of the- Expeditionary Force. 'The soldier applied for a pension for partial disablement, and the board grant-f ed him an amount- of £78 per ■ aiumni , (30s. . por week). The-, maxiimirn pension awardable to a soldier, without dependents, totally disabled, is 355. per week.
