SUNDAY SCHOOLS EXAMINATIONS
LIST OF PASSES
The results of the annual examination of scholars in schools connected with tho Wellington Sunday School Union are announced. The examiners lvero Mesdamos T. H. Gill and A. I?Atkinson Misses Helyer and AV. V. Th'ompson, and Mr. T. H. Gill, M.A.. LL.B. Those gaining 75 marks and over win prizes and first-class certificates; those gaining CO marks and under lb receive second-class certificates; and 48. marks and under tit) gain a thirdoloss certificate. Of the 545 scholars examined, 197 gain prizes and 30S gain certificates. Only <H) failed to obtain tho 40 per cent.: of .marks necessary to secnTe a pass. There iverc '17 more scholars competing this year than last. The Palmerston North schools .entered about 150 6cholaa'S, but as they are being examined by local examiners tlioir numbers have not been included in abovo total* The littlo school at Ngahauranga has done exceedingly, well, having three scholars gaining 100 per cent'of mqriis, and seven others gaining 85 per cent, or over.
