CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. - ; Christchurori, August 27. At the Supreme Court to-day, Mr. Justice Denniston gave judgment in the case Thomas and Graham, of Te Kuiti, against Hopkins, Diamond,, and ,Scott, a Ohristchurcli syndicate. Plaintiffs sold land in To Ivuiti for defendants, and claimed £470 commission under theAuckland scale. Defendants contended that the commission should be £210 under the Christchurch. scale. The agreement said the commission was to be at the usual rates. Tho Judge helct where an agent was told "the usual commission" it must moan the scale in the district in which the land was situated, and where the agent has his business. Judgment was for plaintiff for tho full ajnount.
