BILLIARDS

' CRYSTALATE' CUP CONTEST. Last night two further games in this competition were got off. Brice (Working Men's Club, Petone) beat his clubmate, Stone, by a stubstanial majority. The former player showed quite his best form, and seemed to have 110 trouble at all with diffioult shots that were loft him. In the next game, Owen (Wellington Club) beat Warren (Commercial Travellers). The winner's generalship stood him in good stead and timo and again 110 was undoubtedly Warren, on ..the other hand, was singularly unfortunate and on several occasions when scoring a cannon would have tho misfortune to lose tho white, or elso leave himself an almost impossible shot. The'best breaks of the evening were: Stone, 26 and 21; Brice, 35 and 29; Owen, 31, 21, 22, 22, and 28; Warren,, 24 and 20. The semi-finals will be played; to-nigftt when Keys plays Brice and Owen plays Shanks. '.-
