THE CASE OF PROFESSOR VON ZEDLITZ.
Sir,—l was very much interested .in it letter which 'appeared! in 'J'hb Dominion yesterday, giving another point of view of the case of Professor von Zedlitz. [11 reading the case it lias occurred; to me to wonder if anyone knows what aro the Professor's sentiments and opinions about his country—is he in sympathy with'thcir conduct of the warp lio must of course have somo opinions, ami if his sincere sympathy is with the British and he detests the German methods as we do, ho could perhaps give some indication in that direction,-and help to solve the present difficulty. If his sympathies are with Iho Germans, It is obvious thafc lie should not be in a position to influence fie minds of our young countrymen. Another question lhat arises is: How is Victoria College showing iip with regard to recruiting? Has a good percentage of eligible students joined 'the. ranks of the Expeditionary Forces? It would be interesting to have some figures sliowiug what the college has done in that way. Tils'men' from the English colleges and public schools show a grand record; lot hear what Victoria Colleee bus doao,
and' it will help Wellington citizens to judgo if there has been any influence against satisfactory recruiting.—l am, '' AN INTERESTED OBSERVER. August 22.
