Fair weather » was experienced -on tho run across the Tasman -Sea. The U'lim&roa will leave Wellington for Sydney at 5 p.m. on Thursday next. FEOM OAfLCUTTA. ' Leaving Calcutta for Wellington, via Samarang, Bunbury, Hobart, the Bluff, and other 60Uth0rn ports on July 30, the. Union Company's Waitomo has 22CG tons of cargo on board for this port. After having discharged 55.0000 feet of timber at Wellington • Irom Havclock the schooner Falcon is expected to leave on the return journey to-mrrow. The liner Arawa, which is due at Wellington from London about Septembor 21, will land cargo at Wellington, Lyttelton,, Port Chalmers, and Timaru. Tho C. and D. liner Niwaru has been : delayed at Napier, and will not - leave that port for Wellington till to-day. Being due here to-morrow, the vessel will be dispatched for Timaru on Thursday.' It is understood that owing to the. present . shortage in tonnage the Union Company intend to recommission' the steamer Te Anau. The vessel, which is now at Port Chalmers, was for a long period out of commission in the stream at Wellington, and was subsequently- employed at Lyttelton as an accommodation boat during the watersidors' strike. She will probably be used in the coastal cargo trade. Only 23 hours wore occupied by the Blackball CoaJ Company's Ngakuta on her last trip from Wellington to Greymouth. She is duo back here to-morrow with another load of coal. Tho. New Zealand Shipping Co.'s Otaki Arrived at Wellington from London, via ' Durban, Hobart, and Auckland yesterday afternoon. She will continue discharge at this port, and will take l in 1300 tons ofbunker coal before proceeding on to the Bluff , to-morrow. The Otaki is due at Napier for Homeward loading on Septem-. ber 6, proceeding thence to Gisborne and ■ Auckland, being scheduled to leave tho last-mentioned port for Homie on September 15. Messrs.
