ROWING
"Paddy" Hannan, who is to row William Webb for the sculling ohampionship of New Zealand on Friday, September 10, lias taken up /his training quarters on tho 'site on the Wan gaum River, formerly occupied by Dick Arnst, when training for • the world's championship. When he wrote, Hannan had not been ablo to do much rowing on the river, owing to the presence of so much driftwood', which was still coming down-stream as tho Tesult of the recent floods. The sooner the river was ' clear the better ,ho would like it.
