DEATH OF PRIVATE LANCE BRIDGE

New;s reached Wellington yesterday that Private Lance Bridge, who left New Zealand, with the 4th Enforcements, has died of wounds. Pte. Bridge was a son of Mr. Herbert Bridge, of Oriental Bay, and was about 27 years of age. He was a member of tbe Samonn Expeditionary Force, and on returning to Wellington left almost immediately for the front in tlio 4th Eeinforcements. He had a fine athletic career, being a member of several sports clubs in Wellington. As a member of the Wellington Football Club he represented the club in senior football for several years, while lie was also among the foremost of Wellington swimmers. Boxing, Towing, and running also claimed a good deal of his attention.
