ALLEGED ASSAULT \ — YOUNG WOMAN COMMITTED ? FOR TRIAL [ . <i Assault so as to cause actual bodily r harm was alleged against a young woman c named Margaret Dobson, .before Mr. W. , G. Riddell, S.M., in the ' Magistrate's Court yesterday. The charge was the outcome of a recent disturbance at the r Star and Garter Hotel on July 23 last, j when the landlady of the hotel, Henrietta i Flegeltaub was admitted to ! the Hospital ± suffering from injury to one of her eyes. Mr. H. F. O'Lcary appeared for accused. ? Dr. Clay said he was called to attend 1 Mrs. Flegeltaub and found hor suffering v from severe injury to one of her eyes. v He ordered her removal to tho Hospital. Dr. Clay said he did not know whether ? Mrs. Flegeltaub would lose tho sight of t her eye. ' 0 Evidence, given by Mrs. Flegeltaub, was that she kept a boardinghouse at the top of Cuba-Street. On July 23 accused came to tho house when .witness said p that she was not going to havo her com- I ing to her house- causing a disturbance, n At this accused either struck or threw v a stone, and struck witness ou the eye. a To Mr. O'Leary.
