A youngster by Multind trom Erin is expected shortly. Jn future the Queensland Turf Club will pay totalisator dividends to the nearest penny. The "practice in the Dominion is to pay out to the nearest sixpence, lne fractions and unclaimed dividends go to swell the profits of the various racing clubs. ' F. W. M'Cabo, who. came over from Melbourne, under special engagement to rido Multiply in the National Hurdles, left Auckland on Monday on his return home. If the totalisator can be taken as an indication of the amount of surplus cash in circulation ,it is quite evident that the extraordinary demands on the r<> sources of the Dominion have not crippled speculation. During last week no less than £231,481 was invested at Eiccarton and Addington. as against £187,069 twelve months ago. Of the big total R-iccarton contributed £134,586 ' and Addington' £96,895. .
