Official.—"Our infantry and artillery on Monday defeated the enemy's attempt to strengthen himself at certain , points on the left hank of the Save and Danube. ■ _ "Our artillery on Monday night 'effectively attacked enemy supply columns between Hercherova and Orchava, and in tho vicinity of Pokolav'atz. "The enemy on the same night opened a violent infantry and artillery fira on our positions at Dognjimlanovatz. Our artillery promptly silenced liim. Tho enemy on Tuesday attempted to land on the right bank of the Danube, near Golub'ac. He was allowed to get ■within fifteen yards of the shore. .We then opened a sustained lire."
