KAMO HOT SPRINGS RETREAT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wharigarei, August 14. For the first time, details of the Wihangarei Hospital Board's scheme to purchase the Kamo springs and property were presented yesterday. The chairman of the board then atended a deputation to the Whanmrei County Council. The property embraces a hotel of 20 rooms, a sanatorium of 20 rooms, six private baths, a swimming bath, and the famous "Champagne" Bath, on 44 acres of ground. The board proposes that the property should be used for the treatment of convalescent wounded soldiers, and also to supplement tlio present hospital, and to use the produce supplies to meet the needs of the 'hospital. Yesterday an unofficial visit was paid to the springs by members _of the Auckland Land Board. Opinions were expressed to the effect that there was no more suitable place to treat wounded soldiers 'in the Dominion. The members were particularly struck by the charming, situation.
