The weather was'fine for the concluding day of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's meeting, 'aiid there was again a capital attendance. The track was heavy when racing commenced, but it was improving as i the afternoon wore on. The tbtulisator investments amounted to .£39,563 10s., as compared with ,£2!),912 on the corresponding day last year. Turning towards the back stretch Tommy C. drew out from the others, and Jingle commenced a fast run, which took him into third place by the time they reached, the far turn. Tommy C., however, held his own easily, and won by six lengths. Calm lasted long enough to ■beat Jingle by a neok for second place. Breeze was fourth, and then in' order came Win Soon. St. Kevin,- Denver Huon. and Persuader. Time, 4min. 47 2-ssec. ' A protest -which was entered' by the owner of Calm against Tommy C., on the ground of interference, was dismissed.
