MACHINE GUN FUND
WELLINGTON COLLEGE CONTRIBUTES £100. The new Machine Gun Fund continues to claim tho attention of the public, though the appeal was only made two days ago the Mayor 1 (Mr. J. P. Luke) has £250 already in hand, and other amounts are expected to come to hand duing the next few'days. . Yesterday tha Mayor received a letter ■from Mr. iT. P. Firth, master of Wellington. College, enclosing two cheques, one for £100 for the Machine-gun Fund, and ono for £50 for the Wounded Soldiers' Fund, both to be credited to tho College. Mr. Firth's letter concludes with "the hope that he will be able to send further moneys shortly. The Wellington College is doing its part.
