PETONE TECHMICAL SCHOOL

At last Tuesday's meeting of the Petone Technical School Board there wore present: Mr. J.. Castle (chairman), and Messrs. M'Kenzie, Coles, Cox, Meldrum. HobbSj Burridge, and Robertson. The director (Mr. J. Lynsky) reported that if a giant of £85. were obtained the sohool could beoonncctcd with tho sewerage works. The attendance for tho past month had been very satisfactory. In respect to clerical assistance, the report recommended the employment of a suitablo secondary school lad at £10 per annum. The Social Committee requested permission to hold a social at an early date. The report was adopted. A deputation representing the Lower Hutt branch, consisting of Messrs. Baldwin, Burns, Rishworth, and Macaskill. waited on the. board and submitted several matters, particularly financial, for consideration.
