KELBURN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual congregational meeting of tho Kelburn Presbyterian Church was held last evening, the Rev. A. C. W. Standage presiding. The annual report disolosed a steady inorease in the membership of the church, the number tho roll being now 162. Prominence is given to the war, and to the fact that at least twenty-five members of the congregation, or directly connected with . the families of the congregation, are cither in training or on. active; service. Out of the Young Men's Bible Class nofewer than fourteen have enlisted. Ihe Sunday School' work is in flourishing condition, the roll number bsing 131. The branch of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union connected ■with the congregation has had a successful year, and much active work has been accomplished in collecting for missionary objects, for the war relief fluids, and in making up boxes and parcels ofclothing for the*same objects. The Ladies' Sewing Guild held a sale of work during the year, and since May of this year lias done strenuo.is work oil behalf of our wounded soldiers, providing 215 articles on its own account, and making up 130 more from material sent from tho Town Hall. The other organisations connected with the cnutrfl all show good work done during the year. The treasurer's lecouuts disclose a total revenue of over, -500, oi which £31 6s. Id. represents special collections towards the British and Belgian Relief Fund. Messrs. T. Gray, James Mackenzie, Dallard, and J. Tait wore c'.acted to tho Committeo of Management. It was decided to mako an appeal to tho congregation for £200, to reduce the debt of the church, the sum of £60 having already been donated by twe'vo members of tho congregation. A vote of thanks to the minister and to the various officials for their untiring work w'as carried.
