KARORI COUNCIL

The monthly meeting of the Karori Borough Council was lield last night. The Mayor (Mr. B. G. H. Burn) presided, and there were Mso present:— Councillors A. Hamilton, L. Davies, T.Lower, J. W. Henderson, \Y. C. Cooper, R. T. Pell, and W._ Skegg. A report was received from the Traffic Manager regarding tho caso of a young woman who had refused to pay tlie full fare, on the Karori tramway section on a recent Sunday. The offender had given a wrong name and address to the conductor. ; 'Die Mayor stated 1 that he was afraid she was not the only lady who took advantage of the tramway officials. If they could obtain the right address of an offender it would he well to enter a prosecution. Accounts amounting to £426 were passed, for paymont. The seal of the borough _was attached to the plan of a subdivision of property owned by tlie Hon. 0. J. Joinston. The council decided to naxao tho main road through the property ITa-ps-wood Avenue., and the side street Earl Street.- '
