FIRE AT WANGANUI
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) . Wanganui, August 9. At a late hour to-night a two-storied brick building at the rear of the business block in Victoria Avcnno was completely gutted. 'Die upstairs portion was occupied by D. 1). Karles, tailor, ami tlio lower portion by W. A. Proiisc, dental rooms. Tho good work of the brigade saved the adjoining premises. Tho estimate of the damage and the insurances wcro not available to-night.
