BOOKMAKER FINED

In the Police Court this morning, Mr. WiddowsoU, S.M., gave his decis'on in the caso against Frederick Matthews, charged that, being a bookmaker, he did make a bet on licensed _ premises, vis., the' Grand Hotel, 'flip Magistrate convicted defendant and lined him £20 and costs.
On the motion of Mr. .T. Thompson it was resolved that the Corinthian Club bo. suspended from taking any further part' in matches under tho jurisdiction of tho W.F.A. till their arrears for the 1914 season have been paid. It was further resolved that tho club be requested •to furnish all books to tho W.F.A. for inspection. . On account of several members of the Wanderers' Club having joined the Reinforcements, it was announced that the club had withdrawn its. team from the first division competition. FIXTURES FOE SATURDAY. As the Grounds Committee of tho Wellington Football Association has not decidecC on what grounds the first division matches' mil be played, the draw has been held, over till to-day.
