RUGBY TARANAKI V. AUCKLAND. (By Tel«Era»h.—l'reso Association./ Auckland, August 3. The following .team has been chosen to represent Auckland in the Rugby match against Taranaki, at Eden Park, on Saturday:—Moffit, Barker, D. Stewart, Clark, King, Barclay, Lang,, 0.. Stewart, Sellars, Casey, A', ery, M.'Hugh, Campbell, Bruce, Muir. WAIRARAPA UNION. A' meeting of the Wairarapa Rugby Union was held at Carterton on Saturday night, Mr. A. E. Booth presiding. The resignation of Mr. C. Reia as treasurer and a member of the committee was accepted with regret, and Mr. A. Johnson was elected treasurer. The Carterton Club is to be asked to appoint a member to fill Mr. Reid's place.. The proposed tour to Nelson and Marlborough was abandoned for the present season. ASSOCIATION ITJMAR.Y SCHOOLS' FIXTURES. The following will be the primary schools' fixtures for next Friday afternoon:—lsland Bay v. Wadestown, Duppa Street, 3.30 p.m.; Worser Bay v. Karori, Basin Reserve, 3.30 p.m.; Northland: v. 'l'e Aro, Anderson Park, 3.30 p.m. HOCKEY Fixtures for Saturday next are - Senior. —Insurance v. Wellington, Karori Park, No. 1; St'. Augustine's v. GOLF A mixed foursome competition was played at the Hutt links on Saturday last, and resulted in a tie between Dr. Mirams and Mrs. Hayward and Harris and Miss Harris, with a net score of 3 down. The play-off will tske place at an early date. For the Wilford cup competition, the best cards returned during the month of July were:—Men: T. H. Dawson, 4 up; W. Brodrick, 2 up; 11. W. Reed, 1 up. Ladies: Mrs. Wagg, I up. The monthly bogey competition' will be played on Saturday neyt.
