'Australian purchasers of fat stock had arranged to ship to' Sydney by 'the Riverina to-morrow 150 head of fat stock, but it appears there is a prospect of the shipment being hold tip. Tho Auckland Butchers' Association drew the attention of tho Prime Minister to the proposed shipment, and received a reply that according to the "Gazette" of July 29 no shoep or cattle could be exported without the consent of the Minister of Customs. So far no such consent has been obtained for' tho Riverina shipment.
