Is. to £1 55.; bull, £2; sows, with litters, £310s. to £4 10s.; sows in nitr, £1 15s. to £3; empty sows, £1. 155.: boar, £1 17s. 6d.; store pigs, 155.; two harness horses, £6 10s. and £9. A weaner bull for the' Relief of the Belgians' Fund, mado £5, tho purchasers being Messrs. J. 'l'odd, T.' sr.: Webb,. O. Taylor,, A. Milne, 0. A. Herbert. 6. Francis, W. Bead, J. B. Cunningham. On account of Mrs. Englebretscn, on July 28, we offered her herd of 87 , cows, which wore .in .good condition, and all early calvers. Springers made from £13 103. to 6; later calvers, £9 12s. 6d. to £4; aged cows, to £4, the herd averaging just on £7 10a. -After the sale of cows ! we offered about 60 2-year heifers, calving September and October, but prices offered were not up to vendor's ideas of values. On Friday, July 30. we held' nnr usual fortnightly sale in the Miller's Boad .saleyards, Dannevirke, when wo offered a. lair yarding of sheep. We quote:—Fat wethers, 235. 3d.; fat ewes, 215.; 4 and 5-year ewes in lamb (ipoor), 16s.'; fat cows, £6 17s. 6d.; springing heifers, £5. A Holstein bull, ■presented by Mr. Amos White, of Mangotoro, for the Wounded: Soldiers' Fund, realised £10 12s. 6d.

Messrs... Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterton, report having held their usual weekly sale at-Taratahi on Monday. A good yarding of . sheep met with keen competition, and a total clearance was made, at the following prices Four-year breeding ewes, in lamb to Southdown rams, 295. 6d.; four, and five-year- breeding ewes, in lamb to Romney rains, 225.; m.s. black-faco hoegets, off'turnips; 14s. 9d.; small black-face hoggets, off turnips, Us. lid. to 12s.
IMPORTANT HOGGET SALE.' .j Those requiring first-class hoggets should make a special point of attending the Sandon Ealo to-morrow, when a yarding of SCOO will be offered, which will be drafted for sexes and. sold in lines to suit purchasers. These hoggets have all been turnip fed, and can be strongly recommended to intending buyers. The sale is being held in Mr. H. J. Pagan's yards (kindly lent for the occasion), 9 miles from Keilding, commencing at'l.3o o'clock sharp, and conveyances will .meet north and south trains at Feilding' Railway Station. Messrs.
