MIRAMAR CLUB'S BELGIAN COM- . PETITION. ' Last week's competition for the Club's Belgian Fund, a medal handicap, for a trophy given b,v Mr. C. H. Lawrence, was won by G. S. Matthews. The best cards returned were: —G. S. Matthews, 94—20, 74; C. E. Richardson, 88-13, 75; S. Hornabrook, 93 —18, 75; A. D. S. Duncan, 73 (plus 4), 77; R. P. Ward, 83-5, 78 ; C. 11. C. Robioson, 90-12, 78; AY. E. H, Mackenzie, 90-12, 78. The medal handicap, being the second qualifying round in connection with the championship, was won by G. G. Smith. The best cards were:—G. G. Smith, 96—20, 76; L. D. Hurst, 78 (scr.), 78, A. D; Woon, 83—5, 78; E. Holmwood, 93-15, 78; W. E. A. Gill, 86 —7, 79; G. H. Lawrence, 93—14, 79; G. Magnus, 99—20, .79; A. D. S. Duncan, 76 (plus 4), 80;' F. P. Wilson, 92—12, 80. The last two qualifying rounds are to be played on August 7 and 14.
