FURTHER RISE PROBABLE. Tho Master Butchers' Association met last evening to consider questions 'relating to tho price of meat, but no decision was arrived at. The secretary of tho association states that, owing to the higher prices they now have to pay, customers may expect retail increases very shortly. The association claims that many retail butchers aro not making oven goad wages at present, and they havo jußt been notified of another increase in tho price of mutton. It is stated l that twenty bntellers have closed down in Wellington and suburbs in tho last year.
