"Evening News" of Saturday). The circumstances were rather unfortunate so far as the trainers wore concerned. At Wellington on Friday shippers were notified that no cargo would be taken by the ferry steamer, and on the horses being taken on board it was pointed out that they could not be disembarked until af. ter the vessel was floated out of dock. Apart from' this, it was necessary that the Maori should enter the dock when she did to take advantage of tile full ti(is at 7.42 a.m. The horses are expected to be taken off at about 5 p.m. Evidently these circumstances were, unknown to the trainers, ov were overlooked by them when-they met on the wharf. -
