REPRESENTATIVE WITHDRAWN

Melbourne, July 31. The Federal Government is withdrawing its representative from the Dominions Royal Commission, because it thinks the Commission has not justified its existence.

[In pursuance of a resolution .of the Imperial Conference of 1911, a, Royal Commission was appointed in April, 1912, "to inquire into tho natural resources, trade, and legislation, of certain portions of His Majesty's dominions." At the Horse Show, Mr. Charles Greentree's New Zealand-bred Baron Clutha won in the four-year-old Clydesdale class, and ivas also awarded the premium of £100 for the best draught stallion, t3ie judge remarking that if it had been a question of awarding tho championship lie would have chosen.the same owner's New Zealand-bred Prince Ronald, which wou the three-year-old Clydesdale class, in wliich Mr. E. Hall's New Zealand-bred General Douglas was second.
