ZINC SMELTING ENTERPRISE
ANGLO-AUSTRALIAN SCHEME. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright Lontlo.l, July 30. A proposal has been initiated in influential Anglo-Australian quarters to enlist the co-operation of tlie Imperial Government in a zinc-smolting enterprise.- TJie scheme is not yet fully developed, and the negotiations are in a tentative stage; hut there are reasons to hope that the chemical dyes precedent may make it possible for the Imperial Government to favourably consider it. The scheme involves a smelting plant in Great Britain, costing a. million sterling, and having, a. capacity for treating a hundred thousand tons of concentrates annually.
