"Australia Day" collections reached £372,000, and in Victoria £200,000. The Australian Jockey Club proposes to vote a further £10,000, making a total contribution of £23,000 to .the l'atriotio Funds. Mr. Hugh D. M'lntosh cables to a Wellington friend: "Australia Day world's record. Receipts over £400,000." * •
