Sydney-consign-ments were slightly smaller than those of last week, but prices were just about par. Vegetables-are in heavier supply this week, all-lines being easier. The task of the conimitteo. representing -meat producers, exporters, and freezing companies- which met three mouths ago .and fixedi prices until July 31, needed no continuing to further fix ■prices. Mutton and lambs have been selling at higher rates lately than tlie piice fixed by the committee, and with the opening up of space at freezing works free-trade has-, again asserted! itself, consequently unless unexpected cir-cumstances-happen to cause congestion, which is hardly, likely as the freezing season is about iiiiislied, and the flow of stock small, the work of the committee will bo at an end for some time.

The Associated- Auctioneers have ,in contemplation the removal of their saleyards from Solway to a site at Lansdon'ne. The residents of Lansdowno are protesting vigorously, - and there is talk of an application to the Supreme Court for an injunction—Masterton correspondent. ';
