GERMAN MONEY IN AMERICAN SHIPPING
WAGNER'S TRANSATLANTIC COMPANY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Washington, July 29. The Government has agreed to register eleven foreign-built steamers bought for Richard Wagner's American TransAtlantic Company. It is reported they wore .purchased in British, Scandinavian. and Mediterranean ports by Mr. Jansen, of Copenhagen, Hugo Stinnes providing the money. Tho Department of Commerce is satisfied that tho steamers represent Ger-' man capital, but as Wagner's Company is registered at' Delaware, the steamers are entitled to registry. The Bureau] has notified Wagner that if tho vessels attempt _ to enter tho European trade they will probably find their way to a Prize Court. . j Wagner declares ' that if German money was used in the purchase it would be repaid. Some of the steamars are to be engaged in the South Ajnorican trade.
