WNGANUI LOAN PROPOSAL.
REJECTED BY THE RATEPAYERS; (By Tclecraßli.—Prn?« Assocte-Moti Wanganui, July 30. A proposal to raise a loan of £40,003' for various works was turned down today by 792 to 336. The rejection of the loan was largely due to the fact that some of tho items included in the schedule wore considered unnecessary, the ratepayers not being given an op* porturiity to discriminate.
