' ' -r » TE HIWI C-LUB. The annual meeting of members of tho' To Hiwi Bowling Club was held at tho Grand Hotel on Wednesday night, the vice-president (Mr. Ei- J. Hill) presiding. Tho report and' balance-sheet wero adopted. Mention was made therein of the success which attended the' teams tho club in the various matches during the past season, and.of tho pleasant character of the number of friendly games which' took place. Very-complimentary remarks were made regarding tho'splendid condition of the green, and satisfaction. was expressed with respect to the finances of the club. Tho following oflicors wero elected:— President (life), Mr. 0. .Hill, sen. ; vicepresident (life), Mr. E. J. Hill; committee, Messrs. J. P. M'Clintock, W. Wiggins, H. Crcngel, It. W. Shallerass; hou. treasurer, Mr. W. Wiggins; hon. secretary, Mr. A. J. Benzie;selector, Mr. L. Cohen; auditor, Mr. D. Skinner; delegate to centre, Mr. E. J. Hill. It was decided not to enter this season for tho Pennant competition, conducted by the Wellington Centre. It was, however, agreed that teams from the club should, if possible, take part in the other Wellington inter-club contests, as well as the- (Dominion and local tournaments. At the conclusion of the meeting the health of tho greatly-respected veteran bowler and president,' Mr. C. Hill, sen., was toastdd with great enthusiasm. LOWER MUTT 'CLUB. ! At the annual meeting of the Lower Hutt Bowling and Tennis Club held last evening, Mr. .A. Macaskill presided over a large attendance. . The report and balance-sheet, which have been already published, were adopted, and tho following officers wero elected: —Patron, Mr. J. Dutliie; president, Mr; C. 11. Treadwell; vice-president:;, Messrs. Ilisliworth, Seymour, and Hodgins; secretary, Mr. J. Davidson; treasurer, Mr. E. E-. Jones.
