MILITARY CAMPS AND HOSPITALS.Tho Postmaster-General announces that • .telephone communication with all military camps and hospitals can now be obtained at any time from Welling* ten. > • ■ •. Tho camp at Rangiotu is in direct' communication with l'aimerstou Norths and connection with Wellington is obtained through I'almerston North.' The Tauherinikau Hospital is. in direct communication with Featherston, which is in direct communication with Well-. ington. The Tauherinikau camp is in direct communication with Wellington. After the Featherston office closes, it would, bo necessary to send a messenger from 'tho-.camp to Ihe hospital,,a disr tance of about two miles, if it were necessary to obtain communication with the hospital, and vice versa if the hospital desired to obtain communication' with Wellington. ■ , The Trentham hospital is in direct communication with the Trentham camp, which is in direct communication 1 with Wellington. An alternative route was provided on Juno 5 last for communication between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.*. via tlie Upper Hutt bureau. " A new line to provide direct communication with the Trentham hospital from Wellington is being erected from Lowei. Hutt to Trentliam for Government purposes. The Golf Club (Heretaunga) hospital is in communication with Upper Hutt, which is in direct communication with!' Wellington between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Communication is obtained between that hospital and Wellington direct between, 8 p.m. and S a.m. The hospital at Waikanae is in direct' communication with Wellington.
