MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. At the ordinary fortnightly meeting of tho Minimal- Borougli Councillast night, tho Mayor (Mr. P. Townsend) > presided.; There wero also present: Councillors S. M. Stone, S. H. Underwood, H. Hawthorn, M. Tracy, J. Pollock, and W. H. Green. . Advice was received from the Post 'and Telegraph Department stating that, in fu. turo, the telegraph engineer would confer with the council in connection with the erection 'of any new telephono poles ,in the borough. A rcpoit was received from the Miramar Volunteer Fire Brigade giving particulars of two recent fires in the borough, and stating that_ there had been a full muster of the britadb on each occasion.
