All the officers lost at "chemm-de-fer" to an unknown American. One officer, ill his evidence, said lie refused to pay, suspecting that cardrsharping was going 011. He stated that Prior had informed him that he received twentySvo pounds for taking his colleagues to tho place. Prior denied this, and expressed regret 'for forgetting the regulations against gambling. The hearing is being continued in camera.
