ENTRIES CALLED FOR CUP MATCHES Mr. A. E. Wells presided at the weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association last evening.
A letter was received from the Town Clerk granting permission for .the erection of iron standards on the Basin Reserve in order to keep spectators back from the playing arej. A protest by. St. Thomas's Sixth Division team ■ against Island Bay was held over for the referee's report.
On the (notion of Mr. A. Williams it was decided , that the Wednesday Cup be donated as a trophy to the Sixth B Division competition. On, the recommendation of the Boys' Sub-committee it was resolved tlmt the number of rounds to be player in tlic respective boys' divisions be as follow:— Fifth A, three rounds; Fifth B, three roundsj Sixth A, three rounds; Sixth B, ono round; and the first six teams to play off.
Mr. B. Bell having, joined the Reinforcements, Mr. G. Graham lias been appointed Sixth B Division- selector. Wanderers' Club was severely censured for-having played an unregistered player, and the player in question was asked to appear before tlio cijmmittee next Wednesday to give an explanation of his conduct. On account of «. member of the Management Committee having played in a certain match last Satnrdav, a motion was carried severely censoring him for having broken one of the rules of the W.F.A. • Entries for all cup competitions will close on Wednesday next. It was resolved that tho two Fourth Divisions be merged into one for. tho above competition.
