JOHNSONVILLE STATION
BETTER PROVISION PROMISED,
The Minister of Railways (the Hon. W. H. Herries), in replying to tie question put by Mr. It. A. Wright, M.P., stated yesterday that the proposed alterations at Jolinsonvillo included a reorganisation of the station and provision of additional accommodation which would involve an expenditure of several thousand pounds. The work would bo put in hand as early as possible. Mr. Wright suggested that the Minister should state definitely when ■ tho work was to bft started, so that the people would know when they were to set t'ho relief that tho .Department evidently realised they needed. "The lion, member wants to know rather more than I can tell him," re. plied Mr. Herries. He assui'ed Mr. Wright that the work would bo put in hand at the earliest moment. They recognised that Jolinsonvillo was a placo where they had to spend money, and it would be spent as soon as they could get 'the money. ■
