Simmonds, second-hand dealer, the amount claimed being £2, representing money depositedby plaintiff with defendant on account of the purchase of a secondhand suit of clothes subject to approval, but which, it : was alleged, had'since been loturned to defendant; Costs £1. /A sheep-dog was the subject of a dispute in which, C. Johnson, labourer, of Jolinsonvillo, claimed £4 from T. Albright, labourer, of Wellington. Plaintiff alleged that'he received the dog in question from defendant on trial, and paid £4 on the'understanding that the money would bo refunded if the dog > .were unsuitable. The dog was unsuit-j able, and was returned; but defendant Iliad not-returned tho £4.- After hearing the evidence, the Magistrate gave judgment 'for plaintiff for the amount claimed, with costs £2 6s. _Mr. H, O'Leary appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. I'! W. Jackson for .defendant. -Judgment was giveu for, plaintiff in the case H. Price and Co., Ltd., v. A. Stewart, a claim for £5 2s. 3d. Costs £'2 2s. were, also awarded plaintiff, for whom Sir Kenneth Douglas appeared. l ! DEFAULT DEBTOR'S LIST. /Judgment was given for plaintiff by default by Mr. L. G.
