THE WOUNDED SOLDIERS
TREATMENT 'ON HOSPITAL TRAIN. Ur. "W. E. Herbert lias forwarded the following letter to Dr. Frengley, of tho Public Health Department, with reference to the care, of tho wounded soldiers who travelled north in tho. hospital train:— "I have the honour to report that the hospital train which' conveyed the returned wounded soldiers as far as Auckland reached, its destination without any mishap or hitch. Tho arrangements made for tho comfort and convenience of the soldiers wore excellent, and I know that they were greatly, appreciated by tlie men. "I would like a emphasise tho energy and interest f-ffo staff of the din-ing-car took in attending to tho men's meals. Nothing was a trouble to them, and they showed great_ interest in serving them both in their berths and in tlie car, with very excellent food, which - was very well cooked. "The arrangements for embarking and disembarking those unable to walk wero carried out without a hitch, and with a minimum amount of discomfort. "I had the unsolicited assurance of many of the wounded soldiers that tlicv appreciated all that wns done for them."
