Several letters were received regarding the shortage of farm labour caused iliy the war, and a committee was set ■up to confer .with the Labour Department and -to take immediate action to cope with the difficulty. A.number of questions that had been forwarded'on to ilie board by the Do-, :minion • Council of. Agriculture,_ including amongst others afforestation, the supply of ; s6ed; coi\sultative agricultural committees, the supply of farm labour, late.,- were also carefully discussed and dealt with.
