NEWMAN (Wellington East) gave notice to ask the Government whether they would! now supply the troops going to tho front with warm winter clothing, and with waterproof, sheeting and gum boots for use in the trenches. The Springs County Council Reclamation and Empowering Bill (the Hon. Ri H. Rhodes), and the Lyttelton Borough Council Extension 'Bill (Mr. J. M'Combs) were introduced and read a 'jirst time. , . COOK ISLANDS BILL. The amendments made in Committee in the Cook Islands Bill were agreed to, and the Bill .was read! a third time .without debate. .
