The Nerw Zealand 1/oan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly sale at Bketahuna on Friday, when they offered a very fair entry of sheep and a small one of cattle. Competition was not fo keen as at the previous sale, but we made a- good clearance at the following "prices:—Four and five-year ewes, fair condition,■ £1 to £10s. 3d.; good woolly hoggete, IBs. 6d.; two-tooth wethers, £1 ss. 3d.; dairy oows, £5 10s. . Competition was animated throughout the sale, and the cows brought from £6 10s.. to £11 .for sound, and £4 53. -to. for tlixee-teaterß, the 60und : cowe averaging £9 per head. Messrs. Abraham and. Williams, Ltd., report:—On July 21,.; we conducted a cltaring sale of the dairy herd on account of Jtr. Herbert T. Mexted, Hopelands. The cows came forward in excellent .condition, and .averaged out at £7 Us. per head. .
