Henry, of Auckland, from the' Minister of Dcfence, advising him of the row ceipt of a cablegram from Sir Aiexanderl Qodley, stating that the King has conferred the Distinguished Conduct Medal upon Private W. J. Henry. Private Henry is the elder son of Mr* G. I'\ Henry, and is a member of th? Field Ambulance. He was born iit Timaru," and educated in Christclrurch, where lie learned the printing trade.Private Henry came to Auckland about eight years ago, and it_ was here he qualified in Ambulance duties. Recently. Henry returned to Wellington, whora he was employed as a jobbing tor in the Government Printing Office.Ho joined the Main Expeditionary! Force in' Wellington. Private Heiiry. 23 years old. 1 ANOTHER RECIPIENT. Auckland, July 26.. Advice has been received through tli'ef same official channels by Mrs. 191 Hoiisbn Street, Auckland, that the Distinguished Conduct. Medal has been awarded to her son, Sergeant Robert Tilsley, Auckland Infantry Battalion. Sergeant Tilsley, who is 22 years-old, was -working as an electrical engineer in Rotorua when he joined tlio Espedi< tionary Force. A casualty list issued oB June 1 reported that ho had beei' ■wounded and sent to England.
