SUMMARY AND FORECAST Present indications arc for fair to cloudy ■weather generaUy, but changeable and showery tor a sliort period on the East Coast .between East Cape and. Kaikoura. Winds variable, but raodcrato to strong south-easterlies prevailing northward of Vestpovt and liyttelton and nortlierlios elsewhere. Little change of barometric pressure is anticipated at present. , Changeable weather conditions have prevailed along the East Const of the North Island, -with occasional light rain, but cleewhore fair weather lias ruled. Moderate to strong south-easterly winds have predominated, and atmospheric pressure h(is been considerably above normal, except to the north-eastwards of Bast Cape. D. C. BATES.
