Sailed.—Storm (5.15 p.m.), for northern ports. THE SYDNEY BOAT. This week's Sydney boat, tho Manuka, arrived in Wellington at about 6 o'clock last night, and berthed at the liueen's Wharf. Th© vessel left Sydney at, s.in' p.im on July 22, passed Farewell Spit at 9.20 a.m. yesterday, and rounded Stephen Island at 12.38 p.m. Moderate to strong south-eaat -winds with smooth seas were experienced on the run across. The Manuka broughit the, following cargo:—3s7 packages tea-, 1258 cases fruit, 1 box gold (£5000), 10 cases tobacco, 782 pieces -umber, 210 coecs whisky, 114 bags and 11 sacks rice, 80 bags and 16 sacks ricemeai, 200 cases lubricating oil, and quantity of sundries; also transhipments ox Orontes, Tango Maru, Orsora, St. Albans, Arowatta, Atua, and. Grautala. After discharge here the Manuka proceeds to Lyttelicn to-day, and oji returning here on Thursday Eails at 6 p.m. tie same day for Sydney. MAMAItI AT LONDON. : Cabled advice lias been received by the local office. of the Shaw-Savill Company that tho Mamari, which left hero on June 10, arrived in London on Saturday. PATEENA SAILS. The Pateena sailed finally from Wellington early yesterday morning for Sydney. In Australia, -the Pateena is to replace the Looiigona, which is to undergo overhaul. TAINUI- DUE FRIDAY. The R.M.-S. Tainui, 'which left London on June 12 for Wellington, Lyttelton, and\ Port Ohalmeris, was signalled at Hobart on Saturday night. The liner is due to aiTive here Friday afternoon. • THE OHALISTER-. The local- agents for the etoomer Chalister (Messrs. W. M. Bannatyne and Co.) state that the vessel, which left New York on July 2 for Wellington, passed through the Panama Canal on July 1 16. Tho barque Manureiva arrived at Port Chalmers last week from Clarence River, Now Soutli-Wales. She is at present dis-' charging a cairgo of timber there, which, it is understood 1 , will be used in connection with the widening of the George Street pier.
