Sir Robert Stout has received news that one. of his cousins, LieutenantThomas Stout. of. the Scottish -Rifles (son of Mr. T. Stout, solicitor, Glasgow), was .killed in tho Dardanelles this month. Tlio deceased officer waß 5-3 years of age.

Mr. Alex. M'Kcuzie, assistant master at tlio Wellington South School, who has been appointed headmaster of tlio Karori School, received several presentations on Thursday evening at a social gathering in tho AVcllingtoii South.
