Norris, secretary «f the Trotting Conference, writes: "At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Conference in Wellington last week, a certain matter was taken in committee, the result of which was not published. However, tho president, Mr. John Eowe, of Auckland, explained during the afternoon sitting that Mr. H. F. Nicoll,- a member of the association, desired to address the conference on a reported resolution of the Otahuhu Trotting Club with reference to himself. It was resolved to take the matter in oommittee. As a result a resolution was unanimously passed that tho Conference had absolute confidence in Mr. Nicoll as a member of tho New Zealand Trotting Association."
