HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING. . Mr. H. Baldwin (chairman), Mr. J. W. M'liwan, the Revs. J. Iv. Elliott and H. Van Staveren, Messrs. G. l'etherick, J. Smith, W. J. Thompson, P. Moore, G. M. Lulce, P. 'Castle, D. C. Campbell, B. E. Gardener, H. Freeman and W. Galbway, and Mesdames M'Vicar and Wilford and Dr. Platte-Mills were present at the monthly meeting of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board held yesterday.
Accounts passed for payment were as follow Wellington Hospital, .£4602 95.; Ohiro Home and Charitable Aid, ,£615 2s. Bd.; Otalci Hospital and / Sanatorium, ,£324 12s. 9d.; head office, public health, etc., .£296 10s. 10(1. Total, .£5868 15s. 3d. On tlie recommendation of tho Finance and Property Committee it was decided that the amounts received from the Lockwood Estate for tho Victoria Home for Chronic Invalids, etc., bs invested with the Lower Hutt Borough Council for one year at 5 per cent.
It was also decided: "That the administration ill regard, to tho admission, treatment and discharge of patients at the Otaki Sanatorium be in the hands 9f Dr. Basil Adams, the tuberculosis medical officer, and that the re-arrangement of . the administration with reference to the Medical Service at the Otaki Institutions be referred to Messrs. Smith, Gardener, and the.chairman to report."
