MASTERTON POULTRY SHOW
WELLINGTON SUCCESSES.
(By Telegraph—Special Correspondent.) - Masterton, July 21. Tho second annual show of tho Masterton.Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association was held to-day, and from the point of view of exhibits was highly successful. The New Zealand championships were awarded, as follows:— Canaries.—Yorkshires (non colour fed): E. Gallichan (Wellington). Silver Wyandottes.—J. Currie's hen (Wellington). This bird also secured the Now Zealand Wyandotte Club's special for the best Silver Wyandotte hen or pullet having -now won 011 -four occasions.
■ White Wyandotte.—T. Doig and A. Thomas (Brooklyn), white cock, This bird also secured the New Zealand Wyandotte Club's shield for the best Wyandotte- any- variety, also the New Zealand Wyandotte Club's special for the best White Wyandotte cock or' cockerel.
The following New Zealand Wyandotte Club's specials were awarded:— Best Silver Wyandotte, cock or cockerel: R. H, Riddell (Picton), cockerel. Best White Wyandotte (hen or pullet) : J. Currie (Brooklyn). Best Golden Wyandotte (cock or cockerel): Thomas Avery (Picton)', cock. Best Golden Wyandotte ■ (hen or pullet): Thomas. Avor.y (Picton). Special prizes were awarded as follow :—Best Minorca (male or female): J. Currie (Brooklyn), hen. Best Leghorn.—Harry. Goodin (Carterton), cockerel.
Best Hamburg.—L. A. Wadham (Masterton), black cockerel.
Best Plymouth Hock (male). —A. Cole (Masterton), white cockerel.
Best Plymouth Rock (female). —A Cole, white pullet.
